jour 1 central park, 5eme avenue, time square, Empire state Building

De Time Square direction l’Empire State Building via Broadway Avenue.

Summary of Day 1

After an early morning awakening and first American breakfast, we head straight to Brooklyn to put the suitcases and then shot straight at the subway station closest (marcy avenue’s WWD on the lines for those who know …) and here we are within minutes to the west entrance to Central Park.

It’s Sunday and the legend of New Yorkers doing the sport is far from being misused, it’s like full marathon so the park is full of people.

We try to do is follow the movement and we find ourselves going around the « tank », and we managed to get out of the crowd before the MOMA to be on the 5th, from where … I guessed, a foot race (5th Avenue mile) no no enough is enough, everyone is doubled to cross the finish line and it comes running to the Apple Store!

Short visit to take receipt of my new iPod touch generation.

On file at FAO right next to jump on the giant piano (see the movie Big with Tom Hanks, or simply « make clip of the girl dance » to understand …) and one from the « down » the 5th Avenue towards Times Square. Each house number is occupied by the largest brands of clothes, jewelry and other brands.

Arrive on Time Square and Broadway after a short passage in a « ready to eat » a chain of fast food to look very Frenchy. And no it’s not just the burgers in the land of Uncle Sam and we even managed to eat healthy (I’ve noted that we already eat a Pretzel giant in Central Park?)

Times Square Empire State Building Management via Broadway Avenue. Short tour of the Observatory 86th floor (in the wind but no rain thankfully) AC is already a great height to take pictures … the coup is to not have the courage to climb to the 102nd floor …

And as the day was well advanced we decided to take the metro to go back to our apartment in Brooklyn, just to do some shopping for breakfast the next day and finally resolve to make a Mac do not want to win because to do large kitchen for that first night (yes the good intentions of salad lunch are long gone …

The subway in New York is as easy as a phone, it’s clean and not particularly craignos (at the same time we have traveled in our Manhattan and subway exit is on the other side of the bridge. ..)

Otherwise to return to the apartment is just like the photos we received from the agency this evening we ate on our terrace, which allowed us to say hello to neighbors who went out drinking a glass of wine in hand.

Here is a first summary in bulk, the photos that follow are both in bulk and abstract, but it will give you a first glimpse.Summary of Day 1
